Pragmatick Workshop.
On Sunday, the 22nd of March 2025, a PRAGMATICK workshop is organised from 9:00 to 14:00.Workshop: Ticks – now and then
This workshop is going to discuss the possibilities to predict tick abundance and tick spreading by using forecasting tools. The use of simple temperature-based models as well as sophisticated models including complex parameters will be presented. Their potential and need will be evaluated among tick specialists. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary link between modellers and entomologists will be tightened to enable further cooperations.
A detailed programme will be provided shortly, including the details of the invited specialists.
The PRAGMATICK COST action aims to disseminate knowledge and promote the application of the Stockholm paradigm in order to anticipate and mitigate disease risk associated with the presence and spread of ticks and tick-borne pathogens (TBPs) under anthropogenic pressure and changing climate.
